Full description

In Ozieri, the largest town in Logudoro, in the heart of northern Sardinia, you will have the opportunity to live a unique experience between history and tradition. What we propose, in fact, includes an entire journey from the field to the table. We will begin with a guided tour of our Museum of Milling Art where you will be able to discover all the secrets of durum wheat and the history of milling.

We will explain the harvesting methods used in the past and in modern times, understanding the differences between the varieties of wheat with the possibility of visiting a small field to appreciate, depending on the time of year, the different degrees of growth of the ear. The journey through history will continue with understanding how milling techniques have evolved from prehistory to the present day. The visit lasts about an hour and a half.

Upon request, it is also possible to combine the visit to the Museum with a fresh pasta workshop lasting about 2/3 hours with a lesson of your choice between “maccarrones de ungia” (handmade Sardinian gnocchi), “ravioli” or “culurgiones” (small, square cases of pasta filled with meat, cheese, or other ingredients, boiled in water and then drained, and usually eaten with a sauce.
