NECROPOLI ENAS DE CANNUIAS

Underground necropolis of the Neolithic age with domus built on a tuff ridge. They are of particular value for the sculpted columns, various engravings and decorations. The nature of the material means that the domus are in precarious conditions, with flooding during rainy periods and serious erosion caused by atmospheric agents.

They can be reached starting from the town of Bessude towards Thiesi via the S.P. 23. At the intersection with the S.S. 131 bis, take it towards Ittiri and follow it as far as the roadman’s house “Pianu” and continue for another 150 meters as far as a bend on the left where there is a tourist sign for the necropolis and access to the dirt track that must be followed to the end. You will reach a clearing where you can park your car and walk to the site, which is about 300 metres away to the west.
